When the pandemic hit much of the health and wellbeing industry suddenly came to a halt and due to the lockdown there were no more events in person. This has a huge impact on the whole events industry and we were inundated with work and requests for edits to new clients websites.
One events website that we had built a few years earlier
Otherness.co found that their users had nowhere to visit online to access Sound Healings, Gong Baths, Shamanic Ceremonies and Talks.
We were quickly briefed to create an incredibly easy to use VOD Streaming (video on demand) site that would allow users to create accounts and register to watch both free and paid for content. We chose JW Player as the provider for VOD streaming as we could customise and style the player and also feed in Live Streams from their guides via mobile phones.
API connections to both providers were made and the site was also setup to send intelligent follow up and abandoned cart emails based on the user's likes and browsing habits.
